My photography is rooted in a fascination with nature and the experience of being present within it. I am drawn to landscapes shaped by light, weather, movement, and time, from vast mountain formations to quiet, fleeting details. Some images seek clarity, revealing the scale, texture, and intricate detail of the natural world. Others move toward softness and abstraction, allowing colour, light, and movement to shape the image. Through these different approaches, I seek to convey not only what a place looks like, but the atmosphere and sense of presence found within it.

My name is Leo Smidhammar and I am a Fine Art Landscape photographer with a deep interest in nature, both mountain landscapes and archipelagos, and the life found within them. Working with different cameras and photographic techniques, I move between extraordinary detail and softer, more dreamlike expressions. My images are shaped by curiosity, presence, and a desire to preserve not only how a place looks, but how it feels to experience it.
